On-page SEO

On-page SEO in Morocco: each page matched to one search

On-page SEO is the optimization of each page itself: the keyword it targets, its title and description, its headings, its content, its internal links and its images. It is often the quickest way for a Moroccan website to gain visibility, because it works on pages Google already knows. We match every important page to one real search, rewrite what does not answer it, and stop pages from competing with each other for the same query.

What on-page SEO is

On-page SEO is everything on the page that tells Google, and the person reading, what the page is about and whether it answers the search. The title shown in the results, the main heading, the order of the sections, the words used, the links that lead to it from the rest of the site.

The so-called 80/20 rule applies here more than anywhere: a small number of pages usually bring most of a site's search traffic and most of its enquiries. We start with those, because a better title on a page that already gets impressions pays off within weeks, while a new page takes months.

What we work on, page by page

  • Search intentIs the person looking to buy, to compare or to learn? The page has to match.
  • TitleThe blue line in the results. It decides whether people click, and Google may rewrite a weak one.
  • Meta descriptionThe text under the title. Not a ranking factor, but it sells the click.
  • HeadingsOne main heading that states the subject, and section headings that follow real questions.
  • CopyThe answer in the first lines, then the detail. Specific, in the customer's own words.
  • Internal linksLinks from related pages, with anchor text that describes the destination.
  • ImagesCompressed, sized and described, so they load fast and say what they show.
  • Structured dataMarkup for the business, the service, the FAQ, so Google can show richer results.

One page, one search: the core of on-page strategy

A common problem on Moroccan business sites is two or three pages chasing the same search. A dental clinic in Casablanca, for example, might have "dentiste Casablanca" in the title of its home page, its services page and a blog post. Google cannot tell which one to show, so it alternates, and none of them holds a position.

The fix is a simple map: one search, one page. The other pages either target a different search, such as a specific treatment or a neighbourhood, or merge into the main page with a redirect.

How we run on-page optimization

  1. 01

    Map

We list the searches that matter and assign each one to a single page.

  2. 02

    Rewrite

Titles, headings and copy changed page by page, starting with pages that already get impressions.

  3. 03

    Link

Internal links added so authority flows to the pages you want to rank.

  4. 04

    Measure

Positions and clicks tracked per page in Search Console, before and after.

How we measure on-page SEO

For each page we rewrite, we note its impressions, clicks, click-through rate and average position in Search Console for the queries it targets, over the 28 days before the change. Four weeks after Google has crawled the new version, we compare the same figures.

A better title usually shows first as a higher click-through rate at the same position. Better content shows as new queries the page appears for and a rising position. If a page does not move, we look again at the keyword and the competing pages before changing anything else.

Frequently asked questions

What is on-page SEO?

The work on the page itself: the search it targets, its title, description, headings, copy, internal links, images and structured data. It is what you control directly, unlike links from other sites.

What is the 80/20 rule in SEO?

The observation that a small share of pages usually brings most of the traffic, and a few problems cause most of the losses. It is a reason to start with the pages that already get impressions.

Which tool is best for on-page SEO?

Search Console shows which searches each page already appears for, which is the best starting point. After that, the most useful tool is reading the pages that rank first for your search and seeing what they answer that yours does not.

Do you write the new copy?

Yes, in English, French or Arabic. For larger rewrites we can also brief your own writer and review the result.

How soon do on-page changes show?

Once Google recrawls the page, often within days for important pages. You can ask for a recrawl with the URL inspection tool in Search Console. The effect on positions shows over the following weeks.

Will you change my site's design?

No. On-page work changes words, structure and links. If a layout hides content or slows the page, we tell you and work with your designer.

What is the difference between on-page and off-page SEO?

On-page SEO is what you control on your own website: keywords, titles, content, internal links, images. Off-page SEO happens elsewhere: backlinks, mentions, your Google Business Profile and reviews. They work together. An optimized page without authority struggles on a contested search, and links to a weak page are wasted.
