How much does SEO cost in Morocco? The 2026 market rates

Moroccan agencies that publish their rates put ongoing SEO at about 2,000 to 20,000 MAD a month for a small or medium business, and 20,000 to 40,000 MAD or more for national, e-commerce or multilingual work. A one-off audit costs from about 1,500 to 20,000 MAD, depending on how deep it goes. These figures come from seven price guides published by Moroccan agencies in 2026, linked below. We do not publish prices of our own: we quote after the free audit, once we have seen the site.

SEO prices published by Moroccan agencies

Few agencies in Morocco show a price. These seven do, in a guide or on a service page. We read each one on 11 October 2026 and copied the figures as written.

Each of these agencies sells SEO, so these are published asking prices, not an independent survey. They still agree on the shape of the market.

Freelance, agency or in-house: three price bands

  • About 1,500 to 6,000 MAD a month: a freelancer, or a starter plan for one local business with little competition. Usually technical fixes, the Business Profile and a few pages.
  • About 6,000 to 20,000 MAD a month: agency support for a small or medium business, with regular content, fixes and reporting.
  • 20,000 MAD a month and more: national searches, online stores with many products, several languages, or contested sectors such as real estate and insurance, where Claro Digital puts the range at 20,000 to 50,000 MAD.

For comparison, Claro Digital puts the cost of hiring one junior SEO in-house in Casablanca at 8,000 to 14,000 MAD a month in loaded salary, before 1,500 to 4,000 MAD a month of tools.

What moves the price

  • Competition on your searches. A dentist in Tétouan and an insurer targeting all of Morocco do not need the same work.
  • The size of the site. Ten service pages are not a catalogue of two thousand products.
  • The number of languages. French, English and Arabic each need their own research and their own pages.
  • Content. Léra Concept and Netspace price one optimised article at 400 to 3,000 MAD, and serious work needs several a month.
  • Links. Earned links take time. Packs of bought links are cheap and risky.
  • The starting point. A hacked site, a migration that lost its redirects or a site Google cannot read costs more to fix before anything grows.

SEO pricing models: how SEO is billed

  • Monthly support. The usual model: the work is planned over several months, because results build over that time. Most offers set a minimum term.
  • One-off projects. An audit, a migration, a rebuild or a training day, quoted once.
  • Day rates. Common for consultants who advise an in-house team.
  • Payment for results. Paying per position sounds safe, but nobody controls Google's results, and it rewards searches that are easy to win rather than the ones that bring customers.

What a small budget can buy

A monthly fee pays for hours. MarketMedia argues that 3,000 MAD a month covers a few hours, enough for reporting but not for producing content. A small budget can still work when the scope is small: one city, one service, a Business Profile and a handful of pages. It cannot cover a national market in two languages.

How to judge the return on an SEO budget

Count what organic search brings, not positions alone. Analytics shows the enquiries that came from organic search: audit or quote requests, calls, WhatsApp messages. Divide the monthly budget by those enquiries and you have a cost per enquiry you can set against Google Ads, where every click is paid. Expect that figure to be high in the first months and to fall as pages rank, which is why SEO is judged over six months or more, not one.

Offers to be careful with

  • A guaranteed first place on Google. Nobody owns Google's results.
  • Hundreds of backlinks for a small fixed price. They come from link farms and can harm the site.
  • A monthly price given before anyone has looked at your site.
  • No access to your own Search Console and Analytics, or reports that show positions only.
  • A long contract with no written plan for the first months.

How to compare two quotes

  1. List what is delivered each month: fixes, pages, articles, links, reports.
  2. Ask who does the work, and in which languages.
  3. Check that Search Console, Analytics and the Business Profile stay in your name.
  4. Ask for the plan of the first three months, and how progress will be measured.
  5. Check what is excluded: content and links are often billed apart.

Why we do not publish a price

Two sites with the same goal can need very different work, and a price set before seeing the site is a guess. We start with the free audit, then quote the work it shows. Our support runs for a minimum of six months, the time SEO needs to show results, as our guide How long SEO takes explains. If you are weighing SEO against paid ads, our guide SEO or Google Ads compares the two for Moroccan budgets.

Frequently asked questions

How much does SEO cost per month in Morocco?

The rates Moroccan agencies publish run from about 2,000 to 20,000 MAD a month for a small or medium business, and from 20,000 to 40,000 MAD or more for national, e-commerce or multilingual work. Freelancers sit at the lower end.

How much does an SEO audit cost in Morocco?

Published prices go from about 1,500 MAD for a short audit by a freelancer to 20,000 MAD for a full technical, content and competition audit, and more when it comes with a content overhaul. Our first audit is free and covers your key pages.

Is SEO free or paid?

The visits are free: you do not pay Google for each click, as you do with ads. The work behind them is not. Someone has to fix the site, write the pages and earn the links, whether that is you, your team or an agency.

Freelancer or agency: which costs less?

A freelancer usually costs less, about 2,000 to 6,000 MAD a month according to Claro Digital, and suits a local site with little competition. An agency costs more and suits work that needs content, links and several languages at once.

Why do SEO prices vary so much in Morocco?

Because the work varies. Two quotes at the same price can cover two recycled articles or a full month of fixes, pages and links. Compare what is delivered, who does it and how it is measured, not the price alone.

Is SEO worth it in 2026?

When the searches your customers type bring enough visits to matter, yes: pages that rank keep bringing visits without a cost per click. For very new businesses or urgent campaigns, ads may come first. Our guide on SEO or Google Ads helps decide.
